Digital Pathways Cyber Security presentation for Metro Bank

In January Digital Pathways were asked if they would be interested in presenting to a range of business owners at the Edgware branch of Metro Bank by Stephen Carr & Daryl Heard.

As always we revelled in the opportunity to educate and reinforce the necessity for good online awareness and cyber security. All too often businesses bury their heads in the sand thinking it won’t happen to them. All those in the industry know that it’s not ‘if’ but ‘when’ a breach or attack will happen and are you prepared for the outcome?

It was a great turn out for the event, one of the best the Edgware branch had seen, with everyone fully engaged and somewhat shocked as to what we had to say. Nothing too daunting I can assure you, but inevitably people did not know even some of the basics for online security. Like password managers and the use of unsecured Wi-Fi hotspots. All easy to hack and an opportunity for the unsuspecting user to share bank details, passwords and sensitive information.

Some of the feedback from the presentation.

Daryl Heard – Metro Bank

A really enjoyable business event at Metro Bank Edgware tonight. I’d like to thank Colin Tankard and Jacqueline Wilkinson for their fantastic presentation on Cyber Crime. A big thanks to all that attended. Watch this space for news on the next event.

Stephen Carr – Metro Bank

Great to see so many people take away some great practical and immediate advice on how to protect themselves and their businesses. So many questions asked of Colin and Jacqueline! Many thanks to you both and I’m sure our customers will need you to come back.

Enjoyed a really informative (and at points, somewhat scary) presentation on cyber security by Colin Tankard from Digital Pathways at Metro Bank in Edgware yesterday. Thanks to Daryl Heard and his team for putting on the event. Good to meet so many business owners there, all eager to learn steps they can take to keep their data safe. Also wonderful to catch up with Jacqueline Wilkinson as well.

We are always happy to share our knowledge and educate where we can. If you would like us present at an event, please contact us via email: [email protected] or give us a call on 0844 586 0040.
